Danny Wuerffel was an American college football quarterback at the University of Florida in Gainesville FL when he won the 1996 Heisman Trophy and the 1996 national football championship. Wuerffel threw for more than 3,600 yards and 39 touchdowns in the 1996 season. One of the most decorated players in Florida's football history, he was a key member of the Gators teams that won four consecutive Southeastern Conference (SEC) titles between 1993 and 1996.
